Situated at the quieter end of Krupnica Street, Krakow’s up-and-coming restaurant and bar street on the western edge of the Old Town, Mieta is a pleasant little stop off for Polish beers and wood-fired Italian pizza. The interior is at once homely and relaxing, with a series of washed-out timber tables and booths on one side and a rustic kitchen that looks plucked straight out of Tuscany on the other. Naturally, the piece de resistance on the menu are the pizzas, while there’s also a range of healthy salads to get through. In the summer, be sure to drop by this one’s al fresco terrace out front, which buts onto the fine people-watching strip of Krupnicza Street itself. There’s also a heated exterior terrace area for the smokers and a range of cocktails to boot.
